Primary 3 have been busy exploring Venn diagrams!
9th Mar 2026
Linking in with our topic Journeys, we took our learning outdoors. The children loved sorting themselves by stepping into chalk circles on the playground to show which modes of transport they have travelled on. They had great fun finding the correct place in the circles depending on whether they had been on a boat, train or plane.
We organised ourselves again — this time by how we travel to school: walking, travelling by car or cycling.
For our final challenge, the children decided which circle they belonged in depending on whether they owned a bike, a scooter or both.
The boys and girls worked brilliantly as data detectives and showed a great understanding of how Venn diagrams help us sort and compare information. Fantastic work, boys and girls!
