P7LH got active today as part of our Maths Week Ireland celebrations! We headed outside and took part in some exciting relay races, combining physical activity with real-life maths.
Before the races began, each team predicted how long they thought it would take to complete the relay. We then timed our actual runs and compared the results. Back in the classroom, we worked together to convert our times from minutes and seconds into total seconds.
Our big focus was on finding the average time taken and we were delighted to discover that our class average was an impressive 66.5 seconds!
P7LH are clearly a speedy and smart bunch!
