P3EA All About Me!

As part of our ‘All About Me’ topic, P3EA has been learning about the senses. To explore our sense of taste, we carried out a fun and engaging crisp taste test using four different flavours: salt and vinegar, prawn cocktail, ready salted, and cheese and onion. Each child tasted a small portion of each crisp flavour without knowing which it was. We then recorded our ideas and tried to guess what type of crisp we had tasted. It was surprising how much harder it was to work out the flavour without seeing the bag! Some flavours were easier to identify than others.   This activity helped us understand how our senses work together and how sight and our impressions can influence taste. Everyone enjoyed the challenge and learned something new!
