Learning About Democracy and Citizenship

Today our Primary 6 pupils had a special visit from local MP, Paul Maskey, who came to speak about democracy, citizenship, and the importance of having a voice in our own community. The children listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a deeper understanding of how decisions are made in government and how we can all contribute as active citizens. Mr Maskey was very impressed with our questions and ideas and was hopeful that there were a few future politicians in the P6 audience!
