Exploring Measurement Through Movement and Play

SPL4 then took our learning outdoors, which made measuring even more exciting! We estimated first and then measured the length of a bench, the playground, the width of the pathway, and the edge of the mud kitchen. We talked together and decided which unit of measurement would work best, choosing from footsteps, strides, and sticks. We loved exploring our environment in this hands?on way and had great fun learning through movement and teamwork.
