Holy Trinity Boys’ Gaelic football team competed valiantly against a strong Holy Child team. The old saying “take your points, your goals will come” was very much true, with Shay McCormick scoring a last second goal to level the game at 3-5 a piece.
Next up, we faced our North Belfast rivals Holy Cross. Holy Cross ran into an early two point lead and without the athleticism of Shay Crossley in nets, we would have faced a much greater margin.
The second half started brightly with a well taken goal from Padraig McShane and another from Nathan Hanna. However two quick fire goals from Holy Cross killed off the tie. Holy cross 2-4 Holy Trinity 2-2.
Holy Trinity will be sad to see our primary 7 contingent leave and wish them well for the future.
