Primary 1’s Library Adventure
Despite the rainy weather, Primary 1 set off on the school buses for a special trip to Whiterock Library. Excitement filled the air as the children stepped inside and began exploring everything the library had to offer.
•Hands-on fun: The children enjoyed colouring activities at the art table, creating their favourite characters, and trying out computer games—discovering how the library provides spaces for both creativity and learning.
•Amazing creations: They were amazed by the fantastic Lego models on display, built during library activities earlier in the week.
•Exploring stories: Many loved browsing the wide variety of books and genres, relaxing on the soft seats, and finding stories that matched their interests.
•Storytime magic: Everyone gathered to listen to wonderful tales, including Lion in the Library, read by the librarian—sparking imaginations and smiles all around.
• A new friend: The highlight of the day was meeting Library Bear, who quickly became a favourite among the children.
The trip was a wonderful mix of fun, learning, and discovery—showing the children that the library is not just about books, but a place full of adventures waiting to be explored.
