This term, P4KL have been exploring the work of environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy. To put their learning into practice, the class headed out to the school forest area to forage for natural materials. Working in small teams, the pupils collaborated to collect a variety of textures and colours directly from the landscape. Once back in the classroom, they used these resources to plan and assemble their own nature-based collages. This hands-on project allowed the children to see how natural elements can be transformed into art, mirroring Goldsworthy’s famous outdoor installations.
