As part of our topic about life in the sea, 1GD explored what happens when different objects are placed in water. We tested items made of metal, wood, plastic and cotton wool and made our own predictions before we tried them. We discovered that wood and some plastics floated on the surface and that cotton wool floated at first, but when it got wet it started to sink. Our metal object, a 2p coin, sank to the bottom quickly. We recorded our findings as we went along. Fantastic predicting and exploring everyone!
