Measuring Magic with Primary 3!
13th Oct 2025
Primary 3 pupils have been exploring the concept of measurement in a fun and hands-on way. As part of their learning, they discovered that 100 centimetres make up one metre. To put this into practice, the children worked together to draw one-metre-long fish using chalk in the playground. They used a one-metre piece of string to guide their drawings and checked their accuracy with a metre stick.
They also completed a collaborative challenge to measure the length of a blue whale—an incredible 30 metres! The children were amazed to see that the whale’s length stretched almost the entire playground.
