Our Digital Leaders presented at the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Assemblies today. This month's code is all about fake news and how to check if something is real or true. Our team were brilliant at presenting the information to everyone and talked about keeping it REAL!
Research – check the publisher or writer. Who is telling you the information. Is it coming from somewhere reliable like the BBC News, is it FIFA? Is it an influencer or maybe a scammer??
Evidence – check the sources. Who says it's true.?
Analyse – check the date, check the author, look at the pictures- is it AI, are they fake? Is the image blurry, does the writing make sense, is it spelt wrong, are words repeated. Are there missing fingers??
Learn –If you see breaking news google it to see if you can find more facts about if it is true.
Our Digital Leaders came up with a great idea for Mrs Boyd- we used AI to create a fake picture and pretended to the school that every Friday would be chippy van day with Mrs Boyd's very own van!!!! So many people believed our news!
