1GD visit to Streamvale Farm
28th Apr 2026
On Wednesday, 22nd April we visited Streamvale Farm. In school we had learned about farm animals and their young and that farms are very important as they provide us with many types of food including meat and vegetables. Our guide showed us lots of different animals, telling us their names and that some of them recently had babies. We asked her interesting questions such as what do you call a baby alpaca? (It's a cria.) We fed chickens, pigs and rabbits and watched lambs being fed by their mums. A favourite activity was gently petting the chick and the rabbit, they felt so soft.
Luckily the sun shone all day, we even had time to play in the play park!
