P4CW had a wonderful time taking part in the Scholastic Book Club Live event to celebrate World Book Day. The children enjoyed listening to Betsy Buglove and the Lucky Ladybirds by Catherine Jacob before illustrating the main character alongside the book’s illustrator, Lucy Fleming. Bringing Betsy to life through drawing made the story even more engaging, and the session was filled with creativity and excitement. The class also discovered some fascinating facts about ladybirds—such as the surprising ways they smell through their feet and can survive underwater without oxygen for up to an hour—making the experience both educational and fun.
