West Belfast Partnership 2011 Community Environment Awards.
The children of Holy Trinity Primary School have been working hard to make their area a better place to be. The school has provided its pupils with significant opportunities to appreciate, respect and improve their environment. They have become keen gardeners, enjoying planting and caring for a wide range of shrubs, plants, vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. They have even encouraged their parents to come and sit in their sensory garden to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet!
But that won’t last too long as this year they have managed to make a giant set of percussion instruments that they have put into the sensory garden. Soon the sound of music will be heard resonating through the local area!
Experts at the West Belfast Partnership were so impressed with all of the children’s efforts this term that they gave them a Community Environment Award at the Falls Bowling Pavilion. Well done children!
