The Magic of Science!
Hallowe’en is the perfect time for oozing slime,
Bubbling cauldrons and ghostly ghouls!!!
P6DA visited the University of Ulster Jordanstown Campus on Tuesday 18th October as part of Holy trinity Primary School’s ongoing participation the Step-Up Programme.
The children experienced a highly interactive show that demonstrated the Science behind the art of “scaring.”, including a few tricks involving glow in the dark pupils!
Dr Ryan from the University of Ulster delivered her lecture of flashing lights and explosions showing all the world of the optical illusion.
The children experienced foam, fizz and fun through some close encounters of the Chemical kind! Dr Ryan even created her own spooky, smoking cauldron using some dry ice and water.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this Halloween spooktacular and maybe even learnt a few tricks they can try out on their friends.
