Sporting News

The new league campaign got under way for our Boys Gaelic team on Thursday and first up for them was the daunting challenge of St Aidan’s.  Despite a calamitous start in which they were ten points down after less than five minutes, the boys regrouped and began to close in on their opponents.  Indeed, by half time there was only a single point between the teams.  The second half continued in the same manner with both teams exchanging a number of scores and combining great skill and determination.  Unfortunately however, the final whistle came too soon for our boys and they were narrowly beaten.
